Dr. Sophia Cappelletti was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and knew early on that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping animals.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, graduating magna cum laude, from Murray State University in 2021. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in 2025.
Dr. Cappelletti has a special interest in preventative medicine, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and soft tissue surgery. She is passionate about building strong relationships with both pets and their people and enjoys working closely with families to keep their companions happy and healthy at every life stage.
At home, Dr. Cappelletti shares her life with her fiancé, Zack, their dog Harper, and a ball python named Cedric. In her spare time, she enjoys reading thrillers, practicing hot yoga, going on walks with her family, traveling, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Dr. Cappelletti is excited to be joining the Pewee Valley Veterinary Center team and looks forward to treating you and your pets like family.
